About the role

FX Batching Pty Ltd is seeking skilled Carpenter's to join our team in Fitzroy Crossing, WA. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects in the building trades sector. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry work, contributing to the successful completion of construction and maintenance projects. This role is based on-site in Fitzroy Crossing and offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team in the building trades industry, FIFO from Perth to Broome then driving out to Fitzroy Crossing, 3 weeks on 1 week off rosters and also residential opportuites available and preferred.

Key responsibilities

- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools

- Install and assemble modular housing , fixtures, and fittings, including doors, windows, and cabinetry and steel framing

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy in work

- Inspect work areas and materials to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards

- Perform maintenance and repairs to existing structures and fixtures

- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and site requirements

What we're looking for

- Completed carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent formal training and qualifications

- Proven experience working as a carpenter in the building trades sector with modular housing or steel framing experience

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment





- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry

- Physical fitness and ability to work on varying work sites, including heights where required

- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working flexibly on a casual basis

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Current driver's licence is desirable
