Situated approximately 70km east of Alpha, this busy Central Queensland cattle family operates across multiple properties in the area. A fantastic opportunity now exists for someone new to step into a well-established Governess role commencing Term 1, 2027.

Reporting directly to the parents, you'll primarily support two children entering Grade 3 and Grade 1 through Distance Education. This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in children's education, whether you're an experienced governess or someone studying education who has a strong rural background. More importantly, they're looking for someone who is caring, dependable and committed to helping the children thrive both academically and personally. For someone who enjoys horses, the outdoors and becoming part of a genuine rural family, this is an excellent lifestyle opportunity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:





- Supervise and deliver daily lessons in line with the Distance Education program.
- Attend Distance Education events including mini schools and other required activities.
- Travel with the family during campdraft weekends and continue the children's schooling using the fully equipped mobile schoolroom.
- Assist with the children's horse activities and, if experienced with horses, the opportunity to help with light mustering and yard work.

Selection Criteria:

- Rural background essential, with a genuine interest in children's education and wellbeing.
- Patient, reliable and committed to supporting the children's learning and development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Current Blue Card, First Aid Certificate and willingness to undergo a Police Check.

Additional Particulars:

- Private self-contained accommodation provided.
- Competitive remuneration package negotiated according to experience.
- Own horses are welcome; preference is for no dogs.
- Full-time, flexible Monday-Friday role (approximately 8:30am-5:00pm) commencing Term 1, 2027.
