Allambee is a leading provider of specialist therapeutic services for people impacted by sexual violence and/or domestic and family violence with over 30 years’ experience supporting individuals, children, young people, and families of the Peel region. Alongside our therapeutic programs, Allambee’s Women’s Health Service provides responsive gendered health services, combined with preventive interventions and health promotion activities to support improved long-term health outcomes for women. We prioritise team-oriented working with government agencies, legal services, and local organisations to deliver holistic and coordinated supports our community.

About the role

Allambee is seeking a Justice Navigator to join our expanding team in Mandurah, WA. This newly developed position plays a vital role in supporting, empowering and advocating for victim-survivors of sexual violence as they navigate the justice system. As a Justice Navigator, you will provide holistic, trauma-informed support to victim-survivors of sexual violence alongside legal practitioners, to address their practical and emotional needs.

The position is full-time and primarily based in Mandurah with partial co-location with our partner agency in Perth.

Key responsibilities

- Act as a primary point of contact for victim-survivors navigating the criminal legal system, including liaising with key parties such as WA Police, Victim Support Services, the Office of Public Prosecutions, and other related services.

- Work with victim-survivors to help them identify personal challenges and provide tailored assistance to overcome barriers.

- Advocate for the support needs of victim-survivors, including those with a lived experience of disability and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and facilitate access to appropriate community services.





- Work collaboratively with Allambee partner agencies to ensure the delivery of holistic socio-legal assistance to clients experiencing complex and intersecting needs, within the limits of legal professional privilege.·

- Assist in the establishment and continuation of wider networks and two-way referral pathways to achieve effective service delivery for clients.

- Incorporate an inclusive and relational support approach, walking alongside victim-survivors to promote choice and autonomy.

- Maintain confidential client records and documentation in compliance with relevant legislation.

- Participate in training and professional development to maintain current knowledge of trends and practices in the legal system and community service sector, and broader issues impacting women, and victim-survivors of sexual violence.

What we're looking for

Successful candidates will bring the following:

- A tertiary qualification in Social Work or similar and equivalent experiences.

- Experience in working with disadvantaged, vulnerable and distressed clients, particularly victim-survivors of sexual violence.

- Demonstrated understanding of the barriers affecting women’s access to justice, and the social and economic context which sustains this.

- Knowledge of other relevant agencies and referral pathways for victim-survivors accessing supports in the legal and community services sector.

- Experience in networking and establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders in the community services sector.

- Advocacy, skills and experience representing clients in community service settings.

- Strong emotional intelligence and relational skills.





- Values driven with high standard of ethics, integrity and confidentiality.

- Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain professional boundaries and exercise sound judgement in complex situations.

- Strong written and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate case records, contribute to reporting requirements and use digital systems to support service delivery and evaluation.

The successful candidate must have current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check (or equivalent), and a current WA Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).
