Accountant / Senior Accountant

We’re working with a growing and high-performing accounting firm based in Sydney CBD, who are looking to add an Accountant or Senior Accountant to their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in a professional and supportive environment, working closely with a portfolio of high-performing SMEs and successful business owners.
The firm is open to considering someone who is part-qualified and looking to continue developing their accounting skills, as well as a fully qualified Accountant who can take on greater responsibility from day one.

The Role
Depending on your level of experience and qualifications, you will be involved in a broad range of accounting and advisory work, including:

- Preparing financial statements and management reports
- Preparing and reviewing BAS and GST returns
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments
- General ledger management
- Assisting with tax compliance and reporting
- Working with clients to understand their financial position and provide practical support
- Liaising with clients and other professional advisers
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounting and financial analysis

About You
We’re open to candidates at different stages of their accounting career.
For a part-qualified Accountant,



you will ideally have:

- Previous experience in an accounting firm or public practice environment
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles
- Exposure to BAS, reconciliations and financial reporting
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

For a qualified Accountant / Senior Accountant, you will ideally have:

- Relevant accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent)
- Strong experience across financial statements, BAS and general accounting
- Experience managing client relationships and a portfolio of clients
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
- Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness

- Qualified: $90,000 – $110,000 + super based on experience
