We are partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business that is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Opportunity
Working within a busy fixed plant manufacturing facility, you'll be responsible for ensuring production equipment remains reliable, efficient and operating at peak performance. You'll play a key role in both preventative and reactive maintenance while contributing to ongoing plant improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical systems, working with modern automated equipment and being part of a collaborative maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across a range of manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently to minimise production downtime.
- Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery, motors, drives and automated production equipment.
- Perform installation, commissioning and modification of electrical equipment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving plant reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's maintenance management system.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to maximise plant performance.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:
- Current WA A-Grade Electrical Licence.
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, processing or fixed plant environment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation is highly regarded.
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
