The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity is available to join a highly regarded meat industry leader servicing the south east Queensland food service market. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving market growth by developing strong relationships with premium food service clients, hospitality venues and key decision makers across your territory.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll focus on new business development, while also providing exceptional service and ongoing account management to an existing client base. You'll work closely with customers to understand their needs and curate tailored meat product solutions that align with their menus and preferences.

The Candidate:
This prospect will suit an experienced Chef or Butcher who's already successfully transitioned into food service sales or a food service sales professional with strong meat commodity knowledge. You'll be hands on, proactive and commercially driven, with the confidence to manage your own territory and take full ownership of your results. Meat industry knowledge is absolutely essential, along with a passion for the culinary world and a strong track record in relationship building, account management and business development.

Existing relationships within the Brisbane restaurant and hospitality market will be highly regarded, along with the ability to communicate confidently in “meat speak” .

The Role:

- Strong knowledge of meat products including cuts, grades and quality standards.

- Previous experience as a Chef or Butcher, with proven food service sales experience or proven history of meat sales.

- Demonstrated ability to close sales,



negotiate deals and build strong client relationships.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Visual presentation must be sharp and professional.

- Strong customer service focus with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

- Ability to analyse market trends, customer preferences and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

- Sound understanding of food safety standards, compliance and industry regulations.

- Strong problem solving ability and adaptability in a fast paced sales workplace.

- Strong networking capability and established industry connections.

- Confident in product demonstrations, pitching and presenting value driven solutions.

The Offer:

A competitive base salary is on offer, along with tools of trade to support your success on the road. Starting at $100,000 and willing to go up to $120,000 as a base salary for any exceptional candidates with premium meat industry experience and an existing book of contacts.

The package is designed to attract experienced professionals within the meat and food service sector, whilst providing the resources and autonomy needed for a rewarding and long term sales career. This role will be covering Brisbane based clients.

Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with your experience, performance history and existing industry contacts. Car or car allowance, laptop, mobile phone and a newly created bonus scheme (Still in planning stages) will also contribute to your overall package.
