Level 2/3 or L3 IT Technician

About the Role

Xenex Systems is looking for either experienced Level 2/3 or L3 IT Technician to join our growing team. Salary will be dependant on skill level and whether you meet the L2/3 or L3 level. You'll be the go-to person for resolving complex technical issues, supporting our business clients across networking, telephony, cloud storage, and security infrastructure, and mentoring junior staff along the way.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who's comfortable moving between day-to-day support tickets and more involved project and infrastructure work.

What You'll Be Doing

- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support (if applicant accepts L2/3 position) to business clients, both remotely and on-site

- Providing Level 3 technical support (if applicant accepts L3 position) to business clients, both remotely and on-site

- Troubleshooting and resolving escalated issues across networks, servers, telephony systems, and cloud platforms

- Configuring, maintaining, and securing client IT infrastructure (firewalls, switches, VPNs, backups)

- Managing and prioritising your ticket queue via our helpdesk/PSA system

- Assisting with IT project work — rollouts, migrations, upgrades,



and new client onboarding

- Documenting solutions and maintaining accurate client records

- Mentoring and supporting Level 1 technicians where needed

- Occasionally participating in an after-hours on-call roster

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years' experience in an MSP or similar IT support environment

- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365

- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls)

- Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus

- Familiarity with cloud backup and storage solutions

- VoIP/telephony support experience highly regarded

- Excellent communication skills — you'll be client-facing and need to explain technical issues clearly

- A current driver's licence (company car provided for site visits)

- Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) highly regarded but not essential
