We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide 24/7 support to a participant with complex care needs in Whyalla. In this role, you will deliver hands-on assistance with daily living, personal care, mobility, PEG feeding (following training), and community participation while promoting safety, independence and quality of life.
You will work as part of a dedicated team to provide reliable, high-quality support, follow individual care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and help the participant achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support in a 24/7 care environment
- Assist with personal care, daily living tasks and community access
- Support PEG feeding and complex care needs as trained
- Assist with manual handling, transfers and mobility
- Complete accurate client notes and documentation
- Work collaboratively with support teams and allied health professionals
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- Experience providing PEG feeding support
- Experience with personal care and manual handling in a support setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A calm, reliable and professional approach to support work
- Availability to work a 24/7 roster including sleepover shifts
