Position Overview

The Kin Care Team Leader is a newly created role and is responsible for the leadership, delivery and oversight of the Supporting Kin Service within the Partners in Foster Care team located at Wondai in the South Burnett. This role involves providing operational leadership and advanced practise support to ensure kin carers receive effective assessment, training, and ongoing support. The Team Leader works closely with the Service Manager to contribute to strategic planning and service development while maintaining a manageable caseload.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, holding accountability for Supporting Kin Services, managing staff performance, foster a positive team culture, and engage with external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience and knowledge:

- Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection or community services, particularly with kin and foster carers.
- Strong understanding of the Child Protection Act,



out-of-home care frameworks and relevant legislation.
- To have knowledge of the Equipping Kin and Supporting Foster Care Services.
- Ability to work with other Team Leaders in the Partners in Foster Care team.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Salary & Benefits

The position offers a salary of $58.37 per hour, in line with Level 6 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (SCHADS), plus access to not for profit salary packaging options to maximise your take-home pay.
