About the role

BOND RADIOLOGY is seeking a qualified and motivated Radiographer who is interested in developing a career in ultrasound to join our team in Victoria.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to continue working as a radiographer while undertaking structured, supervised ultrasound training. You will be supported to develop your scanning skills and clinical knowledge while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred medical imaging services.

This prospect would suit a radiographer who is ready to take the next step in their career and is enrolled in, or eligible to commence, a recognised postgraduate ultrasound qualification.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiography examinations in accordance with clinical requests, professional standards and established protocols.

• Provide safe, compassionate and respectful care throughout each patient’s examination.

• Undertake supervised ultrasound training, progressing from observation and basic scanning to more advanced examinations as your competence develops.

• Develop practical experience in areas such as abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, small-parts and general ultrasound examinations, subject to the practice’s case mix and your stage of training.

• Acquire and optimize ultrasound images under the supervision of an experienced sonographer or radiologist.

• Work collaboratively with radiologists, sonographers, referring practitioners and other members of the healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate and complete patient and examination records.

• Follow all radiation-safety, infection-control, privacy, quality-assurance and workplace-safety requirements.

• Participate in feedback, competency assessment and continuing professional development.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will have:

• A recognized tertiary qualification in diagnostic radiography.

• Current registration as a medical radiation practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• A current Victorian radiation use license, or eligibility to obtain one.

• Postgraduate radiography experience; approximately two years is preferred, although applicants with less experience and a strong clinical foundation are encouraged to apply.

• A genuine commitment to completing a recognized postgraduate ultrasound qualification and the associated supervised clinical training requirements.

• Strong radiographic technical skills and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality diagnostic images.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reassure patients and work effectively with clinicians and colleagues.

• A patient-centered approach and a commitment to safe, ethical and professional practice.

• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Previous ultrasound exposure is advantageous but not essential, as this position is specifically intended for a radiographer seeking ultrasound training.

What we offer

At BOND RADIOLOGY, we are committed to the professional and personal development of our team. We offer:

• Structured, supervised ultrasound training and practical scanning experience.

• Support toward an appropriate postgraduate ultrasound qualification and future sonographer accreditation requirements.

• Ongoing mentoring from experienced imaging professionals.

• A competitive salary, based on qualifications and experience.

• Flexible work arrangements where operationally possible.

• Opportunities for career progression within a growing imaging practice.

• Modern facilities and a supportive, collaborative working environment.

• The opportunity to build a dual-skilled career while contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

Specific arrangements relating to study support, clinical supervision, training milestones and any return-of-service commitment will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
