About the role
Make a meaningful difference by supporting people with disability to live with greater independence, choice and confidence. You’ll provide calm, reliable and person-centred support, helping participants achieve their goals while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
This role is suited to someone who is confident working in complex support settings, can respond flexibly to changing needs, and values building genuine, respectful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support to participants in their home workplace
- Respond to changing needs, including unplanned or short-notice support requirements
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, mobility, medication support, manual handling and delegated health tasks
- Promote participant choice, independence and control over their daily lives
- Monitor wellbeing and contribute to a safe, positive environment
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small support team
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
- Experience working with participants with complex needs, behaviours of concern, autism, psychosocial, intellectual, and acquired brain injury disabilities
- Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications
- Has a valid P2 or Full driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, registration, and insurance (travel within the area required)
- Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening,
and has eligibility to work in Australia
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and strong boundaries, with excellent documentation and computer skills
