About Rapid Passive Fire
Rapid Passive Fire (RPF) is a growing passive fire protection company delivering commercial, industrial and high-rise projects across Victoria.
As we continue to grow, we're investing in our leadership team. This newly created Project Manager position has been established to strengthen project delivery, support our field teams and continue building a strong operational foundation for the business.
We're looking for someone who wants to do more than manage projects—we're looking for someone who wants to help build a better business.
About the Role
Working alongside our existing Senior Project Manager, you'll manage your own portfolio of commercial passive fire projects while leading a dedicated team of Fire Technicians.
You'll become the primary point of contact for your projects, ensuring clear communication with clients, builders and your team while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and project delivery.
This is a leadership position where you'll have the opportunity to influence how projects are delivered, develop your team and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial passive fire projects from handover through to completion.
- Plan labour, materials and project schedules.
- Lead, mentor and support a team of Fire Technicians.
- Coordinate builders, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage project budgets, variations and project performance.
- Attend client and site meetings.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
- Drive quality through inspections and digital QA systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication and productivity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Leads by example.
- Builds trust with clients and site teams.
- Solves problems proactively.
- Develops people rather than simply directing them.
- Communicates professionally and confidently.
- Takes ownership and accountability.
- Is organised, commercially aware and outcome focused.
- Enjoys improving systems and finding better ways of working.
Experience & Skills
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing commercial construction projects.
- Experience leading site-based teams.
- Strong planning, communication and organisational skills.
- Commercial understanding of project delivery.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
Highly Regarded
- Passive Fire Protection experience.
- Experience within specialist construction trades (fire, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or similar).
- Simpro experience.
- QA and compliance systems experience.
Why Join RPF?
- Leadership role within a growing company.
- Work directly with the Directors and existing leadership team.
- Opportunity to influence systems, processes and the future direction of the business.
- Company vehicle, phone and laptop provided.
- Market-competitive salary package based on experience.
- Genuine career progression and long-term opportunities.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months you will:
- Successfully manage your own portfolio of projects.
- Become the trusted leader for your project teams.
- Build strong relationships with builders and clients.
- Develop confident, capable technicians who rely on your leadership.
- Introduce improvements that make RPF safer, more efficient and more consistent.
