About the opportunity

Drakes Supermarkets are providing an excellent career chance to progress into a Fruit & Veg management role, with a training position available.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the Fruit & Veg department, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation and availability of stock. You will oversee ordering, inventory control and stocktakes, while maintaining high merchandising standards and minimising waste.

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
Fresh food retail knowledge is desired, but not essential
Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
Unparalleled commitment to customer service
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise with both team members and management
A flair for merchandising
Strong leadership and delegation skills
Commitment to work health and safety standard
Ability to lead and manage a team
Ability to order and control costs will be an advantage
