About Us
We are an exciting recent African fine dining restaurant in Canberra, bringing authentic African cuisine, culture, and hospitality to our community. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic African dishes to a high standard.
Assist with menu preparation and daily food production.
Ensure food is prepared safely and in accordance with food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
Ensure consistent food quality and presentation.

Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or chef (African cuisine experience preferred).
Knowledge of African cooking techniques, spices, and traditional dishes.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.




Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, organised, and able to work under pressure.

Desirable
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
Experience with dishes such as jollof rice, fufu, egusi, pepper soup, suya, grilled fish, goat dishes, and other authentic African cuisine.
