Perth’s most popular Chinese restaurant, Authentic Bites Dumpling House Karrinyup, is situated in one of Western Australia's busiest shopping centres, Karrinyup Shopping Centre. An extremely busy inner city Chinese restaurant which serves the authentic and traditional Chinese dishes, mainly in dumplings and xiaolongbao (soup filled dumplings) and wok-fried dishes.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate cook to join our energetic team. The position is full-time, and the cook will be required to work late evenings, weekends and public holidays.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

· Hold at least Certificate III in Commercial / Asian Cookery

· Minimum 3 year of work experience in Asian cooking

· Excellent cutting and wok skills

· Consists of Chinese Dim Sum skill is highly preferrable but not mandatory.

· Ability to multitask and work under pressure during peak service times.

· A solid sense of teamwork and good communication skills

· A solid work ethic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude

· Full working rights within Australia.

Responsibilities & Duties include:





· Inspecting food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food

handling practices.

· Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes

· Adjusting recipes and cooking to accommodate customers’ dietary requirements.

· Operating kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently

· Portioning, arranging and garnishing food to ensure a perfect presentation.

· Storing food in temperature-controlled equipment.

· Developing menus to use fresh, seasonal foods and meet special dietary needs.

· Maintaining, ordering stocks and supplies and assisting in menu budgeting.

· Supervising and providing training to recent kitchen staff.

· Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, OHS & Food Safety procedures in the kitchen.

In return, we will provide a yearly salary between $75,000 and $85,000 plus super based on your experience and skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
