Lancaster and Dickenson Consulting are seeking a driven and experienced Hazardous Materials Consultant to join our dynamic team in Mitchell, ACT. This full-time role will see you providing strategic advice and technical expertise to clients on the management, handling and disposal of hazardous materials (including, but not limited to, asbestos and lead).
What you'll be doing
Conducting assessments of residential and commercial sites for hazardous materials including asbestos and lead paint
Lead and conduct asbestos and lead hygiene work
Producing reports of various scopes and detail
Conducting air monitoring for various airborne contaminants
Undertaking laboratory analysis of filters and bulk samples for asbestos
Assistance with maintaining L&D;’s quality management systems under ISO 17025 and ISO 9001
What we're looking for
Experience as a Hazardous Materials Consultant or in a similar role
Excellent technical knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficient in the use of relevant software and information systems
