We are seeking a highly experienced Truck & Dog Driver to join our dedicated team at Garden Gear (Bulk Haulage Division).This full time position is based in Fyshwick, ACT.
What you'll be doing
Safely operate heavy combination Truck and Dog, to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner
Perform daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any issues
Ensure protected loading, transportation and unloading of materials
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
Adhere to all relevant road safety laws and company policies
Provide excellent customer service to clients
Assist with general maintenance and yard duties as required
What we're looking for
A valid HC driver's licence with a proven secure driving record
Extensive experience operating heavy combination vehicles (Truck and Dog experience necessary)
Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices
Attention to detail, cleanliness and commitment to safety
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently and part of a team
Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings.
