BREADS by The Standard Market Company is located within the gourmet, fine food emporium at the Brickworks, Southport. Owned and operated by The Standard Market Company, a retail company that specializes in gourmet food, you will be joining a vibrant team and a business that is undergoing major growth.

We have a Casual opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to join our very busy Team.

Our ideal candidate will have availability to work Tues, Thursday & Friday availability essential, with additional shifts available (approx. 25 hours per week). You will be working closing shifts (we close at 6PM), but you will also be trained in morning set up as a back-up (5AM starts).

Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Store set up - Packaging, wrapping different bakery products to be displayed on shelves.
Arranging Cake and Food Displays.
Slicing breads, heating pies, merchandising, Assisting Bakers/Pastry Chefs with packaging, serving customers.
Providing exceptional Customer Service
Taking orders over the phone




Use of POS Registers
EFTPOS & Cash Handling
Cleaning & Sanitisation of display cabinets and direct work areas.

To be successful in this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Must be available for an Immediate start!
You must be Physically fit as this role requires you to be able to lift and move products regularly.
Be reliable and hard working.
Be a Team player with valuable communication skills
Have a passion for high-quality baked goods
Previous experience within a Bakery workplace will be highly regarded
