The Volunteer Cook plays an significant role in supporting Kingston Neighbourhood House by preparing healthy, nutritious, and affordable meals for community members. Working alongside staff and volunteers, the Volunteer Cook assists with meal planning, food preparation, secure food handling, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining a welcoming and inclusive setting. The role helps reduce social isolation by bringing people together through shared meals while promoting community connection, wellbeing, and food security.
All duties are undertaken in accordance with food safety requirements and KNH policies and procedures.
