What You’ll Do:
Install and remove moulds and set up work areas for production, including robot attachments.
Perform insert changes
Conduct production start-ups and prepare First-Off submissions for Quality Control (QC).
Collaborate with material handlers and tool makers to ensure materials, inserts, and mould maintenance are ready in advance of production changes
Work closely with Quality Control to address any issues/deviations in quality
Troubleshoot moulding faults
Essential Criteria:
Trade qualified Die Setter (Certificate IV in Polymer Processing) or proven experience in die setting
Ability to conduct production changeovers within expected timeframes and with accuracy
Attention to detail and a commitment to completing documentation
A proactive attitude towards workplace safety and housekeeping standards
Ability to read and interpret production plans and prioritize tasks accordingly
Willingness to work closely with multiple teams (QC, Tool Makers, Shift Supervisors, etc.)
A scientific and continuous improvement mindset towards moulding processes
Willingness to develop skills and build familiarity with machines and moulds over time
