APS Power WA is looking for a reliable Trade Assistant / Yard Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on role based in our workshop and yard, supporting the preparation, movement and dispatch of generators, welding equipment and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Forklift operation is a major part of the role, so we're looking for someone who is confident behind the wheel and enjoys working in a busy environment.
We're after someone who takes pride in their work, is happy to get stuck in wherever needed, and wants to build a long-term career with a growing company.
Key responsibilities
Operate forklifts to load, unload and move equipment around the yard and workshop
Prepare equipment for customer delivery
Pick, pack and receive stock
Assist with workshop tasks and equipment assembly
Wash and detail equipment before dispatch
Keep the warehouse and yard clean, organised and protected
Assist with stocktakes and inventory control
Help with customer collections and deliveries when required
About you
Current forklift licence (essential)
Current driver's licence
Reliable, punctual and willing to work
Good attention to detail
Mechanically minded and keen to learn
Able to work well in a team and use your initiative
Previous experience in a workshop, warehouse or trade setting is preferred but not essential
