We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer (L2) to join our Sydney Airport team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, solving technical problems, and working directly with customers in a quick-paced operational setting.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing advanced X-ray and trace detection systems while ensuring high levels of equipment availability and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
Troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair X-ray and trace detection equipment
Complete preventative maintenance activities in line with service agreements and schedules
Respond to breakdowns and corrective maintenance requests within KPI commitments
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using multimeters, software tools and diagnostic equipment
Replace motors, belts, rollers, X-ray generators and other machine components
Perform inspections, cleaning, repairs and component replacement within equipment
Support installation and commissioning of new systems
Complete service documentation, reports and maintenance records accurately
Manage spare parts consumption and inventory transactions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend equipment enhancements
Support and mentor junior engineers and new team members
Maintain protected work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture
Work collaboratively with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
