Location: Farleigh Quarry, Mackay, Queensland (permanent full‐time). This role will report to the Quarry Manager and requires experienced operators who are passionate about safety and possess a robust work ethic. You will be expected to work up to 12‐hour days and 5.5‐day weeks during busy periods.
Financials: 38 hours per week spread over 4 days of 9.5 hours each. The last day of the financial week and Saturdays are all overtime – the first 2 hours of overtime are paid at 1.5× rate, and the remainder at double time. Hourly rate ranges from $31.82 to $36.98 depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Operate mobile equipment including dump trucks, front‐end loaders, and excavators.
Operate crushing and screening plant.
Perform general fixed plant maintenance and inspections.
Assist with any quarry tasks during busy periods.
Demonstrate commitment to Zero Harm and safety leadership.
Adhere to fixed and mobile plant pre‐start and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
Quarry or mining experience.
Experience operating a front‐end loader, dump truck and/or excavator.
Ability to work in a small team and unsupervised.
Professional work ethic with a "can do" attitude.
