The Quantity Surveyor works as part of an integrated project team by applying commercial rigor in the application of contractual rights and obligations (in accordance with agreed scope of work) while mitigating project risk and maximizing overall value to Versatile Group.
The role contributes to estimating and monitoring construction costs from project feasibility through tender preparation, construction and post-construction phases; reviewing and evaluating tenders; supporting procurement and subcontractor engagement; assessing variations, claims and project risks; and providing commercial advice to support the delivery of desired construction outcomes.
Projects may incorporate both customer (client) and subcontractor arrangements, with the Quantity Surveyor supporting the commercial, cost and risk interface risk between the arrangements is a priority of the role.
Overseeing total cost estimation for projects.
Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans and contracts to ensure budget specifications are met.
Reviewing and managing changes to project designs, assessing contract requirements and costs and negotiating design variations.
Providing robust commercial counsel and advice within the project team and its integrated team members (SMEs).
Managing the commercial aspects of client-side and subcontractor arrangements after award, including cost, scope, variation, claims, payment and risk matters. More specifically:

Skills & Experience
▪ Knowledge of construction contract legal terminology
▪ MS Office Suite including MS Projects
▪ Familiarity with accounting procedures
▪ Performance Reporting and Administration
Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
