Mackay Regional Council is looking for Parks Maintenance Officers to join our Parks & Open Spaces team across multiple locations including Mackay, Sarina and the Pioneer Valley.

What's the role?

You'll help maintain parks, gardens, sporting fields and public spaces that thousands of residents and visitors enjoy every day.

Duties include:
Mowing, pruning, garden maintenance and landscaping
Operating mowers, tractors and maintenance equipment
Maintaining park facilities and amenities
Inspecting public spaces and reporting issues
Working as part of a supportive team delivering quality outcomes for the community

What you'll bring
White Card
Current C Class Driver Licence
MR Licence
Experience operating plant, equipment or power tools
Robust work ethic and commitment to safety




Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Positive attitude and team-focused approach

Bonus points for
Horticulture or landscaping experience
Chemical Accreditation
Chainsaw and Pole Saw qualifications
Experience operating commercial mowing equipment
