We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Casual Commis Chef to join the team at the Peninsula Club in Dromana. If you’re all about good food, valuable people and a bit of controlled chaos – we’d like to hear from you.

You’ll work with a solid kitchen team who know how to get the job done, back each other, and still have a laugh when things get hectic. From prep to pass, it’s hands‑on, quick‑paced and never boring.

Located on Gibson Street, just one street back from the Dromana Pier, the Peninsula Club operates seven days a week from 9am. With an expanded TAB, outdoor decks, two bars and excellent staff, the Peninsula Club offers the ideal location for lunch with friends or family.

Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG) is the hospitality arm of the Melbourne Racing Club, managing a growing network of 17 pubs, clubs and hospitality venues across Victoria. Our venues include bistros, sports bars, function spaces and gaming areas, each focused on delivering great hospitality experiences within their local communities.

What You’ll Be Doing In The Kitchen
Cooking and prepping menu items to our high‑quality standards
Jumping in to support senior chefs with prep, plating and service when things get busy
Keeping food safety and hygiene locked in at all times (non‑negotiable)




Running your section during service and keeping things moving on the pass
Keeping your station clean, organised and ready for the next wave of tickets

What We’re Looking For
Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience in the real world)
Food Allergens and Do Food Safely Certificate
Experience in a busy pub, bistro or high‑volume kitchen
Solid understanding of basic cooking methods and how to execute a recipe properly
Willingness to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
