APS6 Project Support Officer involved in the delivery of culturally significant infrastructure projects

Your new company

This large Government Department is responsible for managing and protecting some of Australia's most significant natural and cultural assets. They are currently seeking an APS6 Project Support Officer to join the team through a Labour Hire Contract.

Your current role An exciting chance exists for an experienced Project Officer, Contract Administrator or client-side Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and capital works projects.
Working within a cooperative project team, you will assist in the management of contracts, procurement activities, project reporting, stakeholder engagement and commercial administration to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities include

Supporting the delivery of infrastructure and capital works projects from procurement through to completion.
Managing contractors,



subcontractors and consultants to ensure projects meet cost, program and quality requirements.
Assisting with procurement activities, contract negotiations and the implementation of contractual agreements.
Monitoring project budgets, cost plans and expenditure, providing regular reporting on project performance.
Assessing contract variations, claims and potential commercial risks to ensure value-for-money outcomes.
Maintaining accurate project documentation, records and reporting systems.
Contributing to risk management activities and identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.
Supporting the resolution of commercial issues, disputes and contractual matters.

Ensuring all activities comply with relevant legislation, Commonwealth frameworks, governance requirements and procurement policies.
