We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and play a key role in supporting maintenance planning and scheduling activities across our Guildford and Kalgoorlie workshops. This position is responsible for preparing detailed, accurate, and timely estimates while assisting in the coordination and monitoring of maintenance activities for a diverse fleet of heavy mobile plant and equipment.
About the Role
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for maintenance, rebuild, repair, and fabrication projects.
Review scopes of work and identify labour, materials, equipment, and resource requirements.
Conduct comprehensive measurement and pricing activities to develop reliable project estimates.
Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, identifying opportunities for improved value and cost savings.
Assist with tender submissions, ensuring all requirements are captured accurately and submitted on time.
Support project variations, purchase order management, and ongoing cost tracking.
Occasional travel to operational sites and regional workshops as required.

What You'll Bring
Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Cert III or equivalent), or significant hands-on experience maintaining heavy mobile plant.
Proven experience estimating, planning, and scheduling maintenance activities for HME fleets.
Strong knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Sandvik, and similar mining equipment.
Experience using CMMS systems (preferably AMT), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational, planning, and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Tender preparation and contract administration experience.
Understanding of workshop budgeting and maintenance cost control processes.
