Research Librarian Casual, Part-time Roster Multiple Positions
Outstanding Opportunities I am looking for energetic and customer focused librarians for multiple contract opportunities working within a Research Library.
Working with a phenomenal collection, your previous research experience and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will ensure the ultimate satisfaction of your customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities: Providing a welcoming, responsive and qualified customer experience for visitors, researchers and library users.
Responding to enquiries in person, by phone and online, and referring complex requests to specialist staff where required.
Assisting customers to access library collections, information resources, technology and digital services.
Supporting membership registration and account management.
Resolving routine customer issues and escalating complex or sensitive matters in accordance with procedures.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reporting and service improvement activities.
Promoting library programs, services and collections to customers.
Ensuring service spaces are safe, welcoming, well-presented and accessible.




Working collaboratively with colleagues across teams to support service delivery, customer engagement and operational priorities.
Assisting with opening, closing and cash-handling procedures where required.
Ideally you will Possess:
Sound knowledge of processes of a large modern research library, including the principles and practices of library legislation Degree in Information Management or Archives Administration, or a Degree majoring in history, politics, anthropology, law or commerce (desirable) Similar degree and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Society of Archivists (desirable)
