Commissioning EngineersSpecialising in:BatteryPCSMedium Voltage Power Systems (MVPS)Balance of Plant (BoP)SubstationGrid IntegrationLocation: Australia – Site-based with interstate travelEngagement: Contract or PermanentSector: Utility-Scale Energy InfrastructureAbout the RoleWe are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to support the pre-commissioning, energisation, integration, performance testing and handover of utility-scale energy infrastructure projects across Australia.These roles span the full commissioning lifecycle and are suited to engineers with experience in battery energy storage systems, substations, power conversion systems, medium-voltage infrastructure, balance of plant, controls and grid integration.We welcome applications from engineers with experience gained through OEMs, system integrators, EPC contractors, Balance of Plant contractors, Transmission and Distribution Network Service Providers (TNSPs/DNSPs), utilities, developers, consultants, Owner's Engineers, market bodies and commissioning organisations.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute and coordinate commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to commercial operation.Complete pre-energisation inspections, punch-list closeout, point-to-point testing and functional verification.Commission battery systems, PCS/inverters, MVPS, substations, protection systems and Balance of Plant equipment.Support energisation, switching, plant start-up, charge/discharge testing and integrated system testing.Perform battery commissioning activities including:Container, rack and string inspections.BMS communications and alarm verification.Voltage, temperature, insulation monitoring and State of Charge (SOC) checks.Contactor, pre-charge and safety interlock testing.HVAC and/or liquid cooling verification.Fire detection, gas detection and suppression system interface testing.Alarm,



trip and shutdown testing.Verify interfaces between BMS, PCS, PPC/EMS, SCADA, protection systems, revenue metering and network communications.Configure and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI and industrial communication networks.Support performance testing, grid compliance, hold points and reliability testing.Maintain commissioning documentation, test records, red-line drawings, defect registers and handover dossiers.Coordinate activities with OEMs, EPC contractors, network operators, asset owners and project stakeholders.Essential ExperienceQualification in Electrical, Power Systems, Control Systems, Automation or a related engineering discipline.Demonstrated commissioning experience within utility-scale renewable energy, battery storage, substations, transmission, distribution or power generation projects.Practical experience with one or more of the following:Battery systems and BMS.PCS/Inverters.Medium Voltage Power Systems (MVPS).
Balance of Plant systems.MV/HV substations.Protection and control systems.Plant SCADA, PPC or EMS.Grid connection and compliance testing.Ability to interpret:Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
Protection schematics.Control drawings.Network architecture diagrams.Functional descriptions.I/O schedules.Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC *****, OPC UA or similar.Robust fault-finding,
