This position covers responsibilities involved withBusiness Developmentof a definedterritoryor territories.
Thisincludes ensuring budget is achieved,



direct management of selected accounts, vendor relationships, inter- and intra-department liaison.
This role is ideal for a high-performing Business Development Manager who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, delivering strong commercial results, and is ready to take the next step into a leadership and management position.

You will do thisby
Identification ofopportunities andtaking specific actions to ensure that Dicker DAS is well positioned to 'win thebusinesses'
Close relationship withVendors, utilise all available Vendor resources to redirect business to Dicker DAS.
Providehigh level of service to assignedResellers,so that DickerDAS has majority market share within Territory
Coverage of selectedSTATEResellers
Weekly pipeline forecast
Opportunity summary for deals within assigned Account base
General
Provide customer service and sales support to all DickerDAScustomerswhen required
Always present a professional imagetoResellers, Vendors and End Users.
Develop strong product and process knowledge of all DickerDAS Vendors.
Acquire and maintain vendor Sales Certifications as directed
Attend Reseller and Vendor social and training events, which may be out of normal hours
Forecast accurately throughout the month and quarter
Ensure that, where possible, the customer's financial arrangements are in line with their business needs (credit limits, payment terms etc.).
Initiate reviews as appropriate




Liaise with appropriate DickerDAS Sales,Presales and/orTechnical Support teamsforassistance with quotations involving large and/or complex configurations
Proactively seek and develop new business opportunities in existing and potential accounts
Conduct Customer and VendorMeetingseachweek as per goals set by yourManager
Submit a weekly territory forecast
Attend regular business and customer reviews on a scheduleand locationset by your manager
Record sales call and other such data in an application to be advised
Take all reasonably practicable steps to maintain the health and safety of yourself and others, and to minimise risks
Follow Dicker Data's policies,procedures,and reasonable instructionsalways
What you will need to succeed in the role
High level interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise work, to meet with company and customer expectations
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
This includes an ability to communicate and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts
Intermediate MS Office literacy and ERP applications
Understanding of administration procedures (e.g.,ordering, receipting, invoicing, returns and payments)
Detailed knowledge of the relevant market
High level of initiative and enthusiasm
High level product knowledge
Ability to recognise potential in customersand end users.
Ability to forecast numbers against budget on a monthly / quarterly basis.
