About You
You're passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful, connected lives.
You believe in respectful, person-centred practice and enjoy building genuine relationships with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams.
You hold a degree qualification and have experience in one or more of the following areas:
Psychology
Applied Behaviour Analysis
Occupational Therapy
Speech Pathology
Social Work
Counselling
Criminology
Disability
Nursing
Education
Mental Health
Music Therapy
Psychotherapy
Sociology
Special Education
or another relevant discipline.
Whether you're already registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or looking to begin your pathway, we'd love to hear from you.
We can support registration for the right person.
You'll also require:
Current Driver Licence
Access to a reliable, privately insured vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance




Working with Children Check
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:
Work alongside participants to understand their goals, strengths and support needs
Complete functional behaviour assessments
Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans
Coach families, support workers and other stakeholders
Collaborate with schools, accommodation providers and allied health professionals
Conduct observations, interviews and assessments
Select referrals that align with your clinical interests and strengths
Support participants of all ages with diverse support needs
You'll receive ongoing training in:
Positive Behaviour Support
Functional Behaviour Assessment
Trauma-informed practice
Human rights and restrictive practices
Risk assessment
Telepractice
Clinical formulation
NDIS legislation and best practice
You'll also receive ongoing guidance to support your Behaviour Support Practitioner registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
