We're excited to welcome a Registered Nurse to Inpatient Unit (IPU) 4A.The Registered Nurse (RN) leads and delivers person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.The RN acts as a leader in the coordination and delivery of nursing/midwifery care and has a wider role contributing to education, research, quality and safety in order to achieve the best patient outcomes.The 4A Acute Geriatrics, Stroke & Neurology inpatient unit provides access for the delivery of secondary and tertiary acute care to medical adult inpatients.
This unit focuses on providing exceptional care to patients, through a multidisciplinary approach.
Inpatient Unit 4A is a 20-bed open unit and 8-bed secure unit, specialising in the acute care of Stroke, Neurology and Geriatric patients.Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation.

We respect, protect and promote human rights in our decision-making and actions.Key Responsibilities include:Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Values.Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work health and safety and ethical behaviour.Follow defined service quality standards,
work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.Salary rates: $*****- $***** p.h., employer contribution to superannuation ******%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Permanent Part-time, hours negotiable.)
