Apprentice Electrician
Fixed Term (4 Years) Full Time
Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight

Kick-start your career with Rockhampton Regional Council and gain hands-on experience in the electrical industry.
Working alongside skilled trade professionals, you will develop practical skills and technical knowledge while assisting with the installation, maintenance and repair of Council's electrical assets, traffic signals and associated road safety systems that help keep our community moving safely.
You will learn to diagnose faults, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical infrastructure and equipment, while gaining valuable experience using electrical and electronic testing equipment, including multimeters, recorders and calibrators.
Guided by experienced and qualified Electricians, you will build a strong foundation in industry best practice and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career as an Electrician.
As part of this role, you will undertakeaCertificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, which has a nominal four-year study term.
Supported by our experienced team, you will receive on-the-job training, formal education and mentoring to help you successfully complete your apprenticeship and establish a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must be
Aged 15 years or older and no longer at school.
Able to meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.
In possession of a C Class Driver Licence (Minimum Provisional).
Able to complete a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
Rockhampton Regional Council Traineeship & Apprenticeship opportunities are made available with the assistance of government funding.
