Band 7 -$111,379annual salary (excl. super).
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader - People Services, you will lead a key workforce project to design and implement a centralised casual and contingent workforce program for Mornington Peninsula Shire.
Working closely with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation, you will establish the frameworks, processes, governance and systems required to support the effective engagement,
deployment and management of temporary workforce resources and transition the program into business-as-usual operations within the People Services team.
The core responsibilities include:
Partnering with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to design and implement a centralised casual and contingent workforce model.
Developing workforce streams, job family frameworks and capability requirements to support workforce planning and deployment decisions.
Reviewing business requirements and working with key stakeholders to identify and implement fit-for-purpose workforce systems and processes.
Establishing governance frameworks, compliance requirements, service standards and operational procedures to ensure a consistent and compliant workforce service.
Designing processes for the recruitment, onboarding, training, deployment and ongoing management of casual and contingent workers.
Leading stakeholder engagement, change management and implementation activities to successfully transition the program into day-to-day operations within People Services
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of workforce expertise, project delivery experience and the ability to build strong relationships across a complex organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience leading workforce, HR or organisational projects that have delivered sustainable business outcomes.
Experience working within Local Government or another large, complex and highly regulated organisation.
Strong understanding of a workforce frameworks, including job families, capability frameworks, workforce planning approaches or talent pool models.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business units to understand operational needs and drive change.
Experience developing and embedding governance, compliance requirements, processes and operating procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and deliver outcomes in an evolving project environment.
