The Pony is known for its quality beers and friendly service, and since opening our doors in ****, we have been awarded more than 165 trophies and medals for our beers and business, but what we are most proud of is the community we have built around us.

This is a New Role
With a new retail precinct opening alongside our brewery restaurant, we need to support our existing team and this is where this role comes in.
AND because every superhero needs a sidekick...
Our venue manager is a unicorn in a tutu playing a saxophone while effortlessly navigating a packed venue.
We are now looking for the magical dragon to balance the magic with structure and fun, keeping the Pony galloping forward.
As Assistant Venue Manager, you'll be the right-hand person to our Venue Manager, helping oversee the day-to-day operations of our 200-seat brewery restaurant, beer garden, takeaway offering, and events program.
This is a hands-on leadership role.
One minute you might be helping run a busy service, the next coordinating an event, supporting team members, managing bookings, or ensuring the venue looks its absolute best.
Success in this role means embracing the Pony spirit while helping create new experiences that keep locals and visitors coming back for more.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day management of front and back-of-house operations.
Lead by example during service across the floor and bar.
Support, mentor and develop team members.
Manage bookings, POS systems, CRM platforms and stock control.




Assist with venue presentation and ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
Work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver events and promotions.
Support venue opening and closing procedures.
Assist with merchandise and takeaway product displays to maximise customer engagement and sales.
Contribute ideas for beverage offerings, menu updates and customer experiences.
About You
You may already be working as a 2IC, supervisor or assistant manager, or perhaps you're ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
You will bring:
At least 5 years' experience in hospitality.
A passion for customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
A hands-on attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, proactive mindset and a genuine love of hospitality.
An appreciation for craft beer (or a willingness to learn).
Qualifications:
RSA Certificate Responsible Person Certification (essential).
Current Driver's License
Hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential.
