The Role
MSF Sugar is seeking a skilled and motivatedBoilermakerto join our team on a seasonal contract until the end of the **** crushing season.
This opportunity is located at ourTableland Mill, which is approximately 25km west of Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fabrication, and repair work across a range of factory equipment and infrastructure.
You'll work closely with a dedicated maintenance team to support safe and efficient production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, repairs, and fabrication on plant and equipment
Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
Carry out welding, cutting, and grinding tasks to a high standard
Inspect equipment and identify faults or wear issues
Contribute to planned maintenance and shutdown activities
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety and compliance requirements
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation




Work collaboratively with other trades and production staff
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or equivalent
Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment (sugar industry experience highly regarded)
Strong welding and fabrication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
