As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experiencedMechanical Fitterto join our maintenance team at ourBibra Lake/Spearwoodsite.
This is afull-time, permanent afternoon shift position, working:
Monday to Thursday:3:00pm – 11:00pm
Friday:12:00pm – 5:00pm
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our manufacturing equipment while supporting a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and execution of preventative maintenance programs to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
Maintain plant and equipment to ensure production, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.
Provide technical support and expertise to both the Maintenance and Production teams.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce unplanned maintenance events.
Assist with sourcing and ordering components from approved suppliers, as required.
Provide technical advice and recommendations regarding equipment repairs and maintenance activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
Trade qualification as aMechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or a relevant dual trade qualification.
Experience with machining and basic welding.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); SAP experience will be highly regarded.
General computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working within planned maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programs.
A current High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL), including forklift and elevated work platform experience, or willingness to obtain these licences.
Sound understanding of secure work practices and procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), hazard identification, and risk management.
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.
A strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Previous work experience in Packaging / FMCG will be highly regarded.
