Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Permanent Full Time, Monday – Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
***** - $***** p/hr + Overtime (LGIA Stream C C10A&R; – C7A&R; $88,240 to $96,088 per year depending on qualifications and experience, inclusive of Site Allowance, Tool Allowance and 10% A&R; incentive payment*)
$3,000 attraction payment upon successful completion of probationary period
$500 retention payment every 6 months from successful completion of probationary period

Council is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team, servicing and maintaining a broad range of equipment, from heavy earthmoving machinery and trucks to landscaping equipment and light vehicles.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for




Trade qualified Motor Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (and any other tickets/certificates)
Hands-on experience with light/heavy vehicles & civil plant
Fault finding
Auto electrica
Repairs & overhaul
Testing & modification
Tyres & servicing
A strong safe work attitude
