Process Excellence Officer - Unicorn Transport Equipment
$80K-$85K + Super
Newly created role supporting Sales, Purchasing, Engineering and Production teams
Report to a consultative Procurement Manager

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer of steel and aluminium motor bodies, trays, and vehicle transport solutions.
With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability, supplying dealerships, fleet operators, commercial customers and industry partners across Australia.
Due to business growth, they are seeking a proactive Process Excellence Officer to work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering and Production teams to ensure customer orders are completed on-time and on-budget.

As the Process Excellence Officer, you will ensure that business processes and procedures are followed by staff across departments and reduce bottlenecks that can affect project outcomes.
In addition, you will:
Optimise workflows by reviewing weekly WIP's with department managers
Review Bills of Materials (BOM's) and ensure all materials for projects are correctly accounted for in the system (Ostend or ERP system)
Work closely with sales, purchasing, engineering and production teams to ensure jobs are completed to the right specifications
Check quotes and production orders to ensure all product codes and quantities are correct
Ensure that the job flows seamlessly from quote to production and final delivery
Work closely with departments to ensure each job hand-off runs smoothly between departments
Assist the Procurement Manager in documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
To be successful in the position, you will have:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Accounting, or relevant practical experience will be considered
3+ years' experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement or project/job delivery workplace
Strong knowledge of BOMs, production planning, inventory control and ERP systems (Ostendo experience highly regarded).
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
