About the role
This opportunity is available as part of our**** mid-yearorJanuary ****New Graduate Program, supporting your transition from student to confident, capable clinician.
As an Occupational Therapist at Down South Therapy, you will support children, adolescents, and adults,gaining experience and skills across different areas, with the flexibility to follow your interests, while being supported through a structured and well-supported early career pathway.
You will work across a mix of environments, including our South West clinic, local schools, and community settings.
Your role will include:
Delivering both individual and group therapy
Working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals
Developing and implementing individualised, functional therapy plans




Contributing to a transdisciplinary team approach
Participating in regular supervision, mentoring, and structured new graduate learning opportunities
You will be supported through astructured new graduate program, including regular supervision, mentoring, and protected learning time to support your clinical development.
We structure caseloads and schedules intentionally, including location-based planning, to reduce travel demands and support a sustainable pace of work as you build your confidence.
There is flexibility to shape your caseload over time and explore areas of clinical interest, with support to grow your skills in a gradual and supported way.
Start early
For students nearing completion of their degree, there is the prospect tocommence a position with DST earlier.
This allows you to:
Build confidence in a supported environment prior to graduation
Learn team systems, processes, and ways of working
Begin developing clinical reasoning alongside experienced clinicians
You would then transition into the New Graduate Program upon completion of your degree.

AHPRA Registration - Occupational Therapy
Working With Children Check
