About the Centre
Why Join the Healing Centre for Griefology?
The Healing Centre for Griefology isn't simply another counselling service, it was founded to change the way Australia understands and responds to loss, grief, and social and emotional wellbeing.
Established in **** by award-winning Aboriginal Griefologist Rosemary Wanganeen, the Centre was born from a recognition that culturally safe therapeutic models for Aboriginal people simply did not exist.
Rather than accepting this gap, Rosemary pioneeredGriefology, a unique, evidence-based counselling modelthat integrates Ancestral wisdom, contemporary Aboriginal knowledges, and Western therapeutic practices to create a culturally responsive approach to healing.
While founded to address a critical need within Aboriginal communities, Griefology has evolved into a unique healing model that supports people of all cultures and backgrounds.
Today, the Healing Centre for Griefology is a safe place where Griefology meets inspiration, empowering people to better understand their experiences of loss, build resilience, and be inspired, motivated, and sustained in lifelong health and wellbeing.
Our work extends far beyond counselling.
We deliver education, professional development, workplace Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, research, consultancy, and community healing initiatives that support individuals, organisations, and government across Australia.
We are a purpose-driven organisation where every member of our team contributes to meaningful work that strengthens emotional well-being, fosters cultural understanding, and creates lasting social impact.
Every role within our unique organisation contributes to a vision that is transforming the way Australia understands healing.
If you are looking for more than just a job, if you want to be part of a team helping reshape how Australia understands Griefology, we would love to hear from you.
