Shreeji Hub Pty Ltd operates a Cignall franchise retail store in Currimundi, Queensland, specialising in the sale of tobacco products alongside a diverse range of stationery, newspapers, magazines, lottery products, children's books, toys, giftware, greeting cards, glassware, home essentials, decorative items and other general retail merchandise.
The business focuses on delivering reliable, friendly customer service in a well-organised retail environment while maintaining high standards of compliance, product availability and store presentation.
About the Position:
The Retail Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Cignall store, overseeing all operational, sales, staffing and compliance functions to ensure smooth workflow, strong customer service and profitable performance.
This role is central to maintaining inventory levels, driving sales across multiple product categories, supervising staff and upholding all regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily store operations, customer service standards and workflow to ensure efficient and compliant retail performance Determine product range, monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing with wholesalers, distributors and suppliers Oversee Point of Sale (POS) operations, lottery ticket sales and validations, cash handling, EFTPOS transactions and daily opening/closing procedures
Recruit, train, roster,



supervise and evaluate retail staff to maintain high service standards and achieve performance objectives Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, analyse trends and implement pricing and cost-control strategies Ensure full compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements, lottery licensing conditions, consumer protection laws and company policies
Develop and implement merchandising strategies, promotional displays and seasonal campaigns Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, banking, lottery reconciliations and operational data using retail management systems Liaise with suppliers, distributors, lottery representatives and service providers to coordinate stock, promotions and deliveries
Maintain a clean, organised and visually appealing store environment that maximises product visibility and customer engagement Monitor customer trends, seasonal demand and competitor activity to recommend improvements in product selection, pricing and promotions Oversee secure handling of cash, banking, lottery funds and high-value inventory, implementing effective loss-prevention measures
Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply At least an AQF Diploma or higher education qualification
At least 2 years of experience at the required skill level Strong organisational, leadership and customer service skills, with the ability to manage inventory, staff and retail systems effectively Excellent communication, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
