Job Description
About the Role
As ourFacilities Team Leader – Grounds, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our grounds and gardens team, ensuring our outdoor spaces are maintained to an exceptional standard.
You'll be hands-on when needed, while also coordinating workloads, mentoring team members, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement across our sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and support the Grounds team
Schedule and coordinate daily, weekly and annual grounds maintenance activities
Maintain gardens, lawns, landscapes, and outdoor areas to a high standard
Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
Manage grounds equipment, tools, vehicles, and materials
Support WHS compliance and safe work practices
Build positive relationships with residents, staff,



and contractors
Identify opportunities to improve presentation, efficiency, and service delivery
Respond professionally to feedback and maintenance requests
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are a proactive leader who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and takes pride in creating outstanding outdoor spaces.
You'll Bring:
Experience in horticulture, grounds maintenance, or facilities management
Proven leadership or supervisory experience
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Current driver's licence
Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Current Police Check (or ability to obtain)
Highly Regarded:
Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture (or willingness to obtain)
5+ years' horticultural experience
Experience managing grounds maintenance across large or complex sites
Knowledge of irrigation systems, equipment maintenance, and landscaping best practices
