Reporting directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you'll be the first point of contact for many of our celebration clients, guiding them from their initial inquiry through to a confirmed booking while ensuring every interaction reflects the warm and welcoming hospitality that Mercure Townsville is known for.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Celebrations Experience Executive, you'll be the heart of our celebrations journey, guiding clients from their very first inquiry through to the successful delivery of their special day.
You'll build genuine relationships with couples and celebration hosts, ensuring every interaction is personal, seamless and memorable.
As the primary point of contact throughout the planning process, you'll provide expert guidance, coordinate every detail and help bring each client's vision to life.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to wedding and celebration inquiries with warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism.
Conducting personalised venue tours showcasing our tropical gardens, event spaces and accommodation.
Preparing tailored proposals, quotations and contracts for weddings and social celebrations.
Building strong relationships with couples, celebrants and clients throughout the planning journey.
· Managing the planning journey by coordinating timelines, event details and client requirements to ensure every aspect is carefully organised.




· Working closely with theConference & Events Operations Manager, and Operationsthroughout the planning process to ensure a seamless transition from sales and planning through to event execution.
· Collaborating with the Conference & Events Operations Manager and operational team to ensure every celebration is executed seamlessly, creating an exceptional experience for both the client and their guests.
· Building relationships with local suppliers, stylists, photographers, celebrants and entertainment partners to enhance the client experience.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have the privilege of being part of some of life's most meaningful moments.
From the first venue tour to the final farewell, you'll play an key role in creating experiences that our clients and their guests will remember for years to come.
About You
You're someone who enjoys making people feel special.
You naturally build rapport, love working with people and have an eye for detail.
You'll ideally have:
Experience in hospitality, events, weddings or customer service.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Confidence presenting to clients and conducting venue inspections.
A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences.
The ability to manage multiple inquiries while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
