About the role
Blue Wren Childcare is seeking an experienced and passionate Childcare Cook to join our team in Kurmond, NSW.
Cook will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children in our care.
What you'll be doing
Plan, prepare and cook a variety of healthy and balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years
Ensure all meals meet national food safety and nutrition standards
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workplace
Collaborate with the childcare team to understand dietary requirements and preferences
Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in the ordering and management of kitchen supplies
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a childcare or similar setting
Knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and children
Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
Working with Children Check and National Police Check
