About Lantrak
Lantrak delivers large-scale remediation, bulk earthworks and material management solutions across some of Victoria's largest infrastructure projects.
As our remediation business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to work alongside our Project Managers and Site Supervisors, helping ensure our projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out on site, building relationships with crews and identifying practical safety improvements; not sitting behind a desk all day.
The Chance
Working across multiple remediation projects, you'll become the dedicated Safety Advisor supporting our site teams.
You'll spend your time conducting site inspections, working with supervisors to manage risks, reviewing safety documentation and ensuring our projects remain compliant with legislative and client requirements.
This role combines regular site visits with office-based administration and compliance activities.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct regular site inspections across our remediation projects.
Identify hazards and work with Project Managers and Supervisors to implement practical corrective actions.
Review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Verification of Competencies (VOC) and training requirements.
Assist with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
Maintain project safety documentation and ensure compliance with Lantrak's Integrated Management System (IMS).
Prepare safety documentation for new projects.
Participate in internal and external ISO ***** audits.
Deliver toolbox talks and assist with monthly HSEQ meetings.
Support subcontractor compliance and client prequalification requirements.
Assist the transport compliance team with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) compliance.
Assist with safety components of tender submissions.
About You
To be successful you'll have:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a dedicated Safety Advisor, HSEQ Advisor or WHS role.
Diploma of Work Health & Safety (minimum).
Strong civil construction experience.
Experience working on active construction sites.
Confidence reviewing SWMS, VOCs, permits and safety documentation.
Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with site personnel.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Highly Regarded
Remediation or contaminated land experience.
Asbestos project experience.
ISO ***** experience.
Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and HVNL knowledge.
