The Role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Community and Environmental Health Unit to support CALD families accessing 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten programs.
Come and join our innovative and passionate team whose work supports children and families in Greater Bendigo.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can support culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) children and their families with kindergarten registration,
enrolment and attendance to support their successful transition to school.
The successful applicant will provide culturally responsive support to migrants, former refugees, and asylum seekers to build their understanding of the benefits of participation in early childhood services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills together with experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families and children and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Greater Bendigo region.
An ability to speak another language such as Karen, Dari, Mandarin, or Dinka would be an advantage.
This position can be full or part-time.
A satisfactory police records check and Working with Children Check are required for this position.
