Great opportunity as a Divisional Manager / Construction Manager to work with a well-established and growing contractor on demolition and decommissioning projects across industrial, energy, civil and mining environments.
Our client is a well-established and market leading demolition and decommissioning contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated Construction Manager / Divisional Manager – Demolition to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, oil and gas, energy, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
Types of projects include demolition, decommissioning, remediation etc.
Typical values from $2.5m to $50m+.
You will be managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers and Engineers that are delivering the projects.
The role will involve overall management of operations over multiple concurrent projects, monitoring forecasts, budgets, commercials, contractual issues etc.
as well as business development to grow the sectors with support from senior management.
Having some previous demolition experience is preferable and some travel will be required to various projects.
Years of experience:7 - 15 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on tenders and business developmentPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teamsQuality Assurance, Cost and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resourcesBusiness developmentRecruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar7 – 15+ years' management experience on mining / civil construction projects Project management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands-on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem-solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills
