A leading Australian retail organisation with a significant national footprint is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join its growing technology team.
This is a hands on role focused on designing, building and continuously improving DevOps and automation capabilities across a large scale enterprise environment.
You will play a key role in enabling the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of technology solutions that support business critical operations across a distributed network.
What you will be doing
Design, build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines across build, test, release and deployment processes
Drive automation initiatives across cloud, infrastructure and application delivery environments
Support Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Service Bus and App Configuration
Work across hybrid environments spanning Azure, edge infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux/Windows platforms
Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python and Ansible
Partner closely with engineering and product teams to improve deployment reliability, scalability and operational efficiency
Support monitoring, platform maintenance, release management and production stability
Champion secure by design and cloud first engineering practices
What we are looking for
10+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Automation roles




Strong Azure DevOps experience, including YAML pipelines, environments, approvals and release management
Advanced scripting skills across PowerShell, Bash and Python
Experience with Ansible/AWX and enterprise automation frameworks
Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and containerised deployment models
Experience in Kafka will be highly desirable!
Azure cloud expertise and a strong understanding of security, governance and operational best practices
Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
